Welcome to Our Classroom

The Mission of P.S. 282 is to prepare students to become productive, compassionate and valuable members of our multicultural society.  Early childhood education is the cornerstone to academic achievement in later years. P.S. 282's four full-day Pre-K classrooms provide quality preschool as a commitment to our children's future.

Our web site is designed to provide a glimpse into the Pre-K experience in one P.S. 282 classroom and how we work, play and build community together.

The friendship quilt pictured above was created by our class in the first weeks of school.  Each child worked on their individual quilt piece which focused on the theme of family; we then put the pieces together to form a collective work of art that we can enjoy every day.
